Pemmy, the Ginger Kitten
Emma Halstead's daughter lost her favourite ginger kitten toy, called Pemmy, in Enfield on 7th December 06. Pemmy was her daughter's constant companion for over 4 and a half years. The whole family was devastated at the loss of part of their family. Pemmy was wearing an elastic collar with a barrel-tag with his address and number inside so the Halsteads were hoping that somebody would find him and contact them. Emma emailed Toys Reunited to put lost Pemmy up on the website.
Happily Emma emailed Toys Reunited a couple of days later to let us know that Pemmy had been found!
Emma wrote: Thankfully, following my local poster & house-leafleting campaign, Pemmy was safely located on Saturday. A man had found him lying on the pavement exactly where I suspected he had gone missing and had taken him home. Luckily, 48 hours later, the man happened across my poster in one of our local shops and phoned me. We celebrated his safe return that evening with a meal at Pizza Express: Pemmy's last outing from the safe confines of our home for some good time! We are doubly grateful for his safe return this week, as his owner has been off school with a high temperature for the last two days, flaked out on the sofa with Pemmy clamped securely under her arm.
Having read the story of Holly & Noo Noo on your "success!" page, I had actually already contacted the local newspapers, mentioning you, but have since let them know that we do not need their column inches after all.
I am so glad I persevered with my search; many (not least my own mother) thought I was nuts, but I feel vindicated in having safely retrieved him and done the best I possibly could for my little girl. I think I was just as worried as she was; I couldn't bear thinking of Pemmy sitting on a wall somewhere, in the cold and wet every night. When I told people about Pemmy being missing, so many told me about their own lost favorites, never located. One neighbour even said that whenever she finds herself passing the lost property window in a large railway station, finds herself thinking about her son's White Teddy who was left on the London to Newcastle train 20 years ago! Your service is very valuable and deserves all the promotion it can get. Many thanks, best regards, Emma Halstead

Ted Comforter
Julie Ludlow emailed Toys Reunited to let us know that she had the identical Teddy Comforter that Claire Smith was looking for – as a twin for her son’s comforter. Julie's email then wouldn't work and Claire and Toys Reunited frantically tried to get in touch with Julie – even trying to enlist the help of Julie's email provider. Thankfully Julie contacted Toys Reunited again to see if there had been any news of the Stripey Teddy which her son had lost. Claire's son is now very happy to have a spare Teddy Comforter.
I lost my little boy's teddy. We have been searching for nearly a year now for a red stripey teddy brought from Tesco in 2001(my son is actually 5 now, but whenever he is upset for any reason he always mentions it."
Claire says "Thank you so much for Ted, he arrived yesterday and he is smashing! Although you can spot the old and new one a mile off, my little boy is equally happy with both of them. No more tears when Ted is in the washing machine! I'm only going to let him have one at a time in case he decides they both need to go everywhere!" |

Puppy Hugs Bear
Lucinda Muschialli’s son is devoted to his Puppy Hugs and Lucinda wanted to find a ‘twin’ just in case disaster struck and her son lost his favourite toy. A picture of Puppy Hugs was put up on the Toys Reunited website. Nickie Sutton emailed the website saying that she had an identical puppy hugs toy and was willing to send it to Lucinda’s son. Lucinda says “Thanks again for forwarding Nikkie’s e-mail – I am now the proud owner of a twin for my little boy’s bear. Thanks so much – it’s a great website. |

Lost Singapore Panda makes his way home!
Laura Canning, from Southampton, emailed us in May to let us know that she had left her beloved Panda in a hotel in Singapore. With the help of Toys Reunited, Pandy is now safely back home with Laura.
Toys Reunited contacted the hotel and received an email from Molly Lim, the head housekeeper, at the Allson Hotel in Singapore, saying that they had Panda and were looking after him. Laura said “I nearly cried when I heard that Pandy was still there!”
Laura’s Story: “I lost my Pandy while on a college trip (yes, I’m 17, but I still love my Pandy) to Singapore and Australia. I left him in my hotel room in Singapore – the Allson Hotel but didn’t realise I had left him behind until the plane was touching down in Sydney. I don’t have a photo so I tried to draw a picture. He doesn’t really have any distinguishing features, other than his white fur is going rather grey and he's going bald in places ~ I guess you can tell that he's 17! I'd really appreciate it if you could help me find him!”
Pandy and Laura were reunited after a month or so apart. |

Spencer Bear
Amanda Shaw's four year old daughter lost her favourite teddy, Spencer Bear, at Longleat Centre Parcs last Easter. Spencer Bear's details and picture were put on the lost section of the Toys Reunited website.
In July Gillian Headen sent an email to the website saying that she hadn't found Spencer Bear, but had an identical bear sitting in a box under her bed and offered to send it to Amanda's daughter. Gillian says "As a mum of two young boys, who are very attached to their dogs, I know how upset they would be if they were to lose them."
Amanda says "Thank you for passing on Gillian's email. We have been in touch and she is going to post us her 'spare bear'. We are so excited – it is very hard keeping it a secret from my daughter. Thank you so much for helping us find her special friend."
Spencer Bear (the second) has now been reunited with a very happy little girl. |

Pink Teddy-Merseyside
We have had the house, cars & garage upside down looking for him. We have been round Tesco’s car park about twenty times, and been crawling around the floor in the Little Chef for ages.
The whole of the Pattenden family and friends have been looking for him, as has the After Adoption Group (Reece & his sister are adopted). My sister works with Derek Ackora (he’s a phsycic medium) and he told me that PINK TEDDY will come back and we will find him very quickly.
This morning I went to collect all the washing to be done and there in one of the Laundry Baskets was PINK TEDDY.
I know that this had been checked and emptied only yesterday. So HOW DID HE GET THERE. – Reece is convinced it was the Angels that look after people, he has promised to be a good boy at Nursery because PT came back.
Thank you very much for helping us.

Dodo Goes Missing
Being a father of healthy ego I assumed my son’s first word would be Dada. It was not. It was Dodo. Dodo is a small stuffed dog who has been with my wife since her college days. This token of the past was quickly expropriated by my boy in his unending quest to obtain more stuffed animals. Dodo soon became my son’s favorite toy and served as a vigilant and ever-present sidekick. His role is unquestionable and well documented. This particular stuffed dog can be seen in more than his fair share of family photos. Recently the unthinkable occurred: Dodo was lost. More... |

Noo Noo - Market Drayton
Here is the story of how Noonoo the duck comfort blanket was reunited with Holly.
After informing Toys Reunited of Noonoo's disappearance I was recommended by them to contact our local paper. Rather than just stick an advert in the lost and found column, I managed to speak to a reporter. I mentioned that I had already contacted Toys Reunited and I explained what you did which they found very interesting. They thought it was a fantastic story and the next thing I knew a photographer was on the doorstep to take a photo of Holly and me. Imagine my surprise when I bought the paper to find a huge spread on the front page! The article appealed for anyone who has found Noonoo to contact me.
Over the next few days it seemed the whole town was desperately searching for Noonoo. Everywhere I went people (including strangers) were asking if he'd been found yet. It was the talk of the town!! When they asked for a description I told them to look at Toys Reunited as there was a picture of him on the website.
A few days later there was a knock on the door, unfortunately I wasn't in myself to receive him, but a man handed over a very wet, dirty, bedraggled looking Noonoo. Holly was so happy and excited, but unfortunately she had to do without him for another couple of hours while he went through the washing machine. But at last Holly went happily to bed snuggled up with Noonoo once more.
Apparently the man had found him just yards from our home and had put him on a church wall, but somehow he had managed to fall over the other side out of sight. After all the publicity he realised Noonoo was still lost so he went back to where he had found it to see if it was still there.
I contacted the paper to let them know that Noonoo had come home and thank them for their help and they sent another photographer to get a shot of Holly and Noonoo reunited. Again it made the front page!!
I have been surprised at the number of people who asked if there was anything they could do to help or phoned just to sympathise. A number of curious people have had a look at Toys Reunited, so hopefully if any other little children lose their toys or anyone finds a toy they will automatically think of you. Toys Reunited is a godsend to those of us who have children obsessed with their comforters!”
Many thanks for all your help,
Debbie, Holly and Noonoo. |

Teddy Tods McGregor (pictured) had a scary time – he was
missing, presumed lost, at Membury service station on the M4 not far
out of London.
His family didn’t realise he was missing until they were well into
Wales. Tears, traumas and tantrums ensued during the 7 hour round
trip back to Membury to try to find him. Teddy Tods was lucky, he
was found safe and sound the next day – at home!

"Years ago my daughter left Panda at a hotel in Orlando and we only
discovered it when we had already gone though to the gate at the
airport. Thanks to the heroic efforts of the hotel receptionist who
battled through rush hour traffic, the airline who delayed the plane
for 10 minutes and organised for a special escort to take Panda to
the plane - Panda was handed directly into the arms of a very happy
little girl!”
