Delights for daddy
It's Father's Day on 19th June so now's the time to prepare for it. Together you and your child can really treat dad on his special day - there's lots
of fun activities you can do together to make Father's Day a real treat.
Why don't you make dad some brownies or fairy cakes? Messing around in the kitchen together can be lots of fun and your child will love seeing how a bunch of ingredients can be turned into delicious treats. Put them in a lovingly wrapped box and present to dad on Father's Day for a sweet surprise.
The same goes for making a Father's Day card. Give your child some coloured paper, crayons, glitter and child-safe glue and let their creativity run riot.
It's so lovely to receive a homemade card and dad is sure to swell with pride when he sees the results. If you have a little baby, you can still make a card
together – just let your child dip her hands in paint and decorate it suitably.
Father's Day is also a great time to encourage father-child bonding, so make sure the kids are around to enjoy the day. As tempting as it might be to suggest a
day trip out for all the family, talk to your average dad and he's bound to say that he'd like to stay in and relax for a change. There are plenty of stay-at-home
activities which dad and the kids can enjoy together in a suitably relaxing manner. If he has a favourite hobby, let him involve the kids in it, whether it's stamp
collecting or cooking. Alternatively why not choose a fun board or card game for the family to enjoy?
