recipe for babies
Three cheese sauce with pasta shells
This makes a really delicious creamy cheese sauce. You can buy mini organic
pasta shells and other pasta shapes like tiny pasta stars and alphabet pasta
in my 'Make Your Own' range in Boots.
From 10 months
Makes 2 to 3 portions
Suitable for freezing
15g butter
15g flour
150 ml milk
30g gruyere cheese, grated
20g parmesan cheese, grated
3 tbsp (70g) mascarpone
60g Annabel's mini organic shell pasta (from Boots)
Melt the butter, stir in the flour and cook for one minute. Gradually add the
milk, then continue to stir for 5 minutes over a low heat until the sauce
thickens. Take off the heat, stir in the gruyere and parmesan until melted,
then stir in the mascarpone.
Cook the pasta according to the packet instructions. Drain and mix with the sauce.
